Josh was born in Fullerton, CA and has lived in Southern California his entire life. He started playing the piano at age 5, and has been playing ever since. After not enjoying the classical piano that most piano teachers taught, he found enjoyment in high school playing more popular songs by artists such as Elton John. After graduating from Villa Park High School in 2002, he attended Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA, where he obtained his B.S. in Engineering. Now working as an electrical engineer in Corona, he began looking for opportunities to play in bands, and came across the Brandon Ummel Band. While he’s played piano his entire life, this is the first time he’s played in a band.
